Professor Apollos Okwuchi Nwauwa
Professor Apollos Okwuchi Nwauwa is Director of Africana Studies at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA. Prof Nwauwa earned his B.A. degree from Bendel State (now Ambrose Alli)University, Ekpoma, Edo State, Nigeria, and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Histeaching and research expertise is on modern African and diaspora studies. He has published extensively and internationally on a number of topics on Igbo, Nigerian, African, and African Diaspora Studies. Professor Nwauwa has published over 30 refereed articles in international scholarly journal; he has also published and coedited five books including the more recent volumes – Nigerian Political Leader: Visions, Actions and Legacies (2015) as well as Governance and Leadership in Nigeria:Prospects and Challenges(2016). Professor Nwauwa is the Editor-in Chief of the OFO Journal of Transatlantic Studies and the General Secretary of Nigerians inDiaspora Organization in the Americas (NIDOA-USA). He serves on the board of several companies and agencies within and outside Nigeria.
